About Alma

Alma is a city in Québec’s Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, on the Grande Décharge at the outlet of Lac Saint-Jean. It grew with pulp, paper, and aluminum industry along the river channels that drain the lake. The waterfront, islands, and winter outdoor culture remain central to daily life.
