Argyle is a municipal district in Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia—not Argyle in Manitoba or Ontario, and not the Town of Yarmouth. Tusket is the municipal seat; Pubnico, Wedgeport, and other Acadian fishing communities share a long, indented coastline known locally as Par-en-Bas. About 8,000 people live in the District of Argyle.
