The County of Brant is a single-tier municipality surrounding the separate city of Brantford in southwestern Ontario. Paris is the main town, at the forks of the Grand River; St. George, Burford, Glen Morris, and Oakland sit among farms. Despite a legal “city” census name, it is the rural county around Brantford, not that city. About 39,000 people live in the County of Brant.
