About Ramara

Ramara is a township on the east shores of Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe in Ontario, across the water from Orillia—not a city. Hamlets such as Atherley, Brechin, and Lagoon City sit among farmland, canal cuts, and cottage shoreline. Casino Rama is on neighbouring Rama First Nation, a separate jurisdiction. About 10,000 people live in Ramara Township.
