About Saguenay

Saguenay is in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region of Québec, along the Saguenay River fjord. The city was created by merging Chicoutimi, Jonquière, La Baie, and surrounding areas. It is a regional service centre with a history of pulp, aluminum, and hydroelectric industry. About 145,000 people live in Saguenay.
