About Sorel-Tracy

Sorel-Tracy is a Montérégie city at the confluence of the Richelieu and the St. Lawrence, northeast of Montréal. It joined the old shipbuilding town of Sorel with the steel town of Tracy and remains an industrial harbour facing the Sorel Islands. A stone parish core, a deep-water waterfront, and the river’s widening toward Lac Saint-Pierre define the site. About 35,000 people live in Sorel-Tracy.
