About Steinbach
Steinbach is a city in southeastern Manitoba, southeast of Winnipeg along Highway 12. Mennonite settlement history, a strong retail and auto-sales corridor, and a bilingual English–German heritage shape the community. Farmland of the Rural Municipality of Hanover surrounds the city, which remains a regional shopping and service hub. About 18,000 people live in Steinbach.
